Your money.Your future.Our priority.
Taxes are confusing. You don't have to figure them out alone. Call or email us, and a Texans United preparer will walk you through it, one step at a time, without you ever leaving home.

What you'll need.
Most of these show up in your mailbox by early February. Only gather what applies to you. Missing something? Reach out anyway, and we'll tell you what's left. (List to confirm with Texans United.)
We'll never ask for these by email or text.
- Your Social Security number
- Bank account or card numbers
- Photos of your ID or tax forms
- Your income or last year's return
Those only go into your own secure portal or over the phone with your preparer. If anyone claiming to be us asks for them any other way, don't send them. Call us at (409) 332-1332.

“Your money belongs to you.”
Texans United is locally owned and operated in Southeast Texas. When you call, you get a real person at a local company, not a call center three states away, and we explain everything in plain English.
Andrew's own story (how Texans United started, who's on the team) goes here once he shares it.

If yours isn't here, call or email us. No question is too basic. (Answers to confirm with Texans United.)
Do I have to come in to an office?
No. Everything happens by phone, email and your own secure portal. You never have to leave home.
How do I send my documents safely?
After we talk, we email you an invite to your own secure portal, run by TaxAct, the professional tax software we use. Only you and Texans United can see what you put there. You can upload phone photos or files. Please don't send tax documents by regular email or text.
What if I don't have all my paperwork?
Reach out anyway. On the first call we'll tell you exactly what's missing and where to find it.
What's a W-2? What's a 1099?
A W-2 is the form your employer sends you in January showing what you earned and what taxes were already taken out. A 1099 is a similar form for contract, gig or side work. Not sure which you have? Read us the title at the top of the form when we talk, and we'll tell you.
How do I pay?
Once your preparer knows what your return involves, we send you the fee. You can pay by card in your secure portal, or have it taken out of your refund if you're getting one. A bank fee applies to that option, and we'll explain it first. (To confirm with Texans United.)
How will I know where my return is?
You get your own private progress page. It shows each step, from "documents received" to "accepted by the IRS," and we email you when something needs you.
We keep you posted by phone or email, and your secure portal shows which documents we still need. We'll tell you as soon as the IRS accepts your return.
